The sunshine has arrived though there is some grass emerging, many horse owners are struggling with their horses condition, having had an extensive cold, wet winter has impacted the grass growth.
After the glorious sunshine and some much needed showers the grass is growing! Great for our fields to finally recover following a very wet and muddy winter, but for those horses who are at risk of laminitis, it is time to consider their management.
"My boy gets Pink Mash and Sensi-Care 3 times a day. He also gets Maestro a few days before a show to give him a bit more go! He loves Keyflow and almost tap dances for it! You can see the difference in his body since being on Keyflow Feeds. It has not only put condition on him but it has allowed his body to mature and let me put him now in the correct level of work."
"We have been using Keyflow feeds now for just over 12 months and have noticed a great difference in the way our horses look and feel. We are conscious to feed our horses from the inside out and feel that Keyflow enables us to do that. A healthy horse is a happy horse.”

Try combining with Pink Mash to provide an easy to eat, complete fibre mash.
Feeding energy to a horse or pony which is prone to gaining weight can be challenging. Then we suggest adding energy as needed in the form of a high quality omega oil Key-3 Oil™. Continually feed oil at a maintenance level and increase as required.

Pre-digested essentially means cooked, this can be done in a small number of ways. We use steam extrusion extensively throughout our products which involves, grinding, adding steam to and gently cooking a mixture of ingredients. The process causes the mixture to expand and any starches and proteins to change structure. This increases the surface area of the molecule, allowing the horse’s digestive enzymes to more readily and thoroughly break them down in the small intestine. Think of a popcorn kernel after it’s popped, the surface area is increased making it easier to digest. Take a look at Key-Plus™ or Stay Cool™ for what our steam extruded feeds look like.
