The TODD SQUAD Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoters are Keyflow (UK) Ltd, and Westgate EFI Ltd (The Mark Todd Collection).
  2. The Prize is a sponsorship package comprising training and product as laid out below.
  3. Employees of The Promoters or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition.

  5. To be eligible, applicants must have attended at least one British Eventing Mark Todd Bridging the Gap (MTBTG) ridden training session during 2018 or 2019 (excludes course walks)
  6. Closing date for applications will be 23:59 on Monday 9th  September, 2019. After this date no further entries to the competition will be accepted unless at the discretion of the Promoters. Riders attending the MTBTG training day on 10th September 2019 should apply in advance.
  7. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. The judging panel comprises Sir Mark Todd, British Eventing coaches Gill Watson and Lizzel Winter, and representatives from Keyflow Feeds and Westgate EFI (The Mark Todd Collection).
  9. The judging panel will invite up to six applicants (finalists) to take part in a selection/training day, which is scheduled to take place on Monday 30th September 2019 at a venue near Swindon, Wiltshire. The Promoters reserve the right to change the date and venue if necessary. Those who are unable or unwilling to attend the day will forfeit their position and any potential claim to a prize. Finalists will be given branded merchandise by The Promoters, which must be used/worn on the day.
  10. Finalists will be required to bring a horse of an appropriate standard to ride and are responsible for any costs incurred in attending. The day will include flatwork and jumping sessions and riders must use/wear correct tack and safety wear as determined by British Eventing rules. The option of bringing two horses (one for each session) is at the discretion of the judges and such requests should be made in advance to Gill Watson or Lizzel Winter.
  11. The Prize: Three winners will be invited to join the “Todd Squad 2020” and will each receive a sponsorship package for the 2020 season comprising of:
    1.  The opportunity to attend three training sessions with Sir Mark Todd
    2. Keyflow feed and supplements to the retail value of £500 plus ongoing nutritional support and advice throughout the sponsorship period.
    3. Clothing, tack and horse wear from the Mark Todd Collection to the retail value of £500.
      In addition riders attending the selection day will be provided with a branded Mark Todd jacket, saddle pad and rug.
  12. The winners will be announced at the finals and will be collectively referred to as The Todd Squad 2020.  All finalists are required to remain for the prize giving on the day.
  13. The Sponsorship Period is for 12 months from January 1st 2020 to the 31st of December 2020. The Prize must be claimed within this period.
  14. Training sessions for The Todd Squad will be group sessions and will be arranged on set dates at a time and place determined by Sir Mark Todd. Riders are responsible for the costs incurred in attending training sessions and must ensure that suitable tack, clothing and safety gear are used. The first of these training dates will take the form of an Induction Day where each rider will be presented with £500 worth of gear from the Mark Todd Collection. All riders will receive the same prize bundle, as selected by Westgate EFI (parent company for the Mark Todd Collection) and is subject to riders supplying their sizes when requested. Special requests may be considered but not guaranteed.
  15. The winning riders will act as ambassadors for The Mark Todd Collection and Keyflow brands throughout 2020. The Promoters reserve the right to withdraw any elements of the prize package at any time should the winner behave in a manner that is considered detrimental to the sport or to their brands.
  16. Finalists must not have any existing conflicting sponsorship agreements as determined by the Promoters. Existing sponsorships, whether monetary or in kind, must be declared on the application form. Where it is considered a conflict may occur, the Promoters reserve the right to contact the applicant to discuss whether this constitutes a conflict. Applicants may contact the Promoters in advance should any doubt exist as to whether an existing agreement will constitute a conflict of interest.
  17. The winners must not enter into any additional conflicting sponsorship agreements during the Sponsorship Period without prior written consent of the Promoters.
  18. The winners will be required to provide regular updates for use in publicity and to promote and endorse the British Eventing MTBTG Training Scheme.
  19. The winners will be required to actively endorse and support The Promoters brands, namely The Mark Todd Collection and Keyflow Feeds, through their social media channels.
  20. By entering this competition, the finalists agree to the use of their names, images and that of their horses in any associated publicity material.
  21. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
  22. The Promoters are not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
  23. No cash alternative to the prizes will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
  24. The Promoters’ decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  25. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
