Keyflow will be feeding four horses at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games which starts at the end of August. We will see Michael Whitaker, Sir Mark Todd and husband and wife Tim and Jonelle Price fly the Keyflow flag in Normandy.
The build up to these games has been infamously difficult for a lot of the nations’ teams, with high profile losses of strong contenders across the board. Our riders’ have had a seriously successful last few months however, with Tim and Jonelle both having excellent runs at Hartpury CCI3*, in a repeat of last year’s second and third placings. Tim takes this year’s Luhmulen 4* winner, Wesko (owned by Christina Knudsen, Peter Vela, Lucy Sangster and Kate Watchman), and Jonelle contends on Trisha Rickard’s Classic Moet. Mark lines up alongside the Price pair, on Peter Cattrell and Di Brunsden’s Leonidas II. After victory in the CIC3* at Belton in March, the pair have recorded numerous placings at International level. Most notably, their 14th placing at Badminton after the most testing cross country test seen for a while.
Following our WEG eventer’s flying form, Key showjump rider, Michael Whitaker is entered on his own Viking V. The combination have had great season, and will be joining, what is described by Chef d’Equipe Rob Hoekstra as, “A really exciting team”. Michael heads to this weekend’s Global Champions Tour leg in London as final preparation before the championship.
